Actually no need to wait for 1st 1K service, anytime will do, the SC i usually go for service only repair warrenty on mon to fri day, sat and sun day service only, i think every SC had its own business style ... this sensor will consider repair, i and the mac only took 5 min to fix it. make an appoinment 1st before go, i already said " please contact your SC for more detail"  Grin maybe statement not clear or overlook... or i didn't mention in PM..  Grin

and some says install outside cost RM35 or more, don't waste $$ and void your warrenty, let them pay for their mistake.

is very simple task, they just make a split connector and tap to the right passenger side door switch sensor, so typically, is join with the right passenger side door, but no harm, it works just like normal.

hey there all, i  just got my viva 1.0(m) premium and after reading up e posts in this forum, only i realized there's such a vital defect ie no tailgate sensor ! honestly, i am rather unsettled and have double checked it up! indeed, there is no such sensor ! according to you, Projason, there would be an installation been done by the Perodua personnels, is that really the case? really a bit tak sedap here although i have discovered that not many ppl either don't realize or not bothered whether there is a tailgate sensor or not which in turn shows either most driver are ignorant or such issue is not that fatal after all ! most of you are right ,however, in saying that viva is a hatchback and not sedan which means it does whole lots of matter in terms of the sensored tailgate. that's why it causes me to have such question to you, Projason, when you said Perodua is ready to have tailgate sensor be installed, where to get such information? am afraid my car seller would be too irresponsible in helping me out here so that i would need to do all this all by myself...please help me out here bit, Projason !

no worry... a forumer d-Sport said he is one of the supplier for parts and the tailgate sensor is part of what he supply, and i've made more then 1 complain to P2, call them up, e-mail them and post nev- post on forums to make them look ugly.. Smiley , you could say is abit threatening post on the complain, but what i spoke is to protecti consumer..

OK, is the SC that i complain call me up just 2 to 3 weeks after my 3rd service, they just said the part is ready, ask me to make an appointment, they fix it, just 10 min job.. and i'm happy... thats it, so as for all, make a call or go for a visit to make complain, i think they will order for you and call for install...

but i've remember some forumer, which is new owner, they get the same booklet but only with sticker stick on the statement says the tailgate sensor should work, i wonder they want to save their asss or what..

you could try, if you install outside, you will void your warrenty on alarm system unless you want to change the whole system.

and what i think most of the owner is not aware, not ignore it, coz if i didn't surf the web, i also won't realized such a problem, they didn't call back after all... thats one of a kind "not my problem" attitude..

i am having a new dilemma again, hope somebody out there could help ! i want my tailgate alarm being installed as soon as possible but i am not sure which Perodu Service Center is professional enough to have this done without triggering any other problems! as all of us have learned about the Service Center, you send your Perodua for some minor problems it will end up bigger new problems pop out after servicing. i called 1 in Bukit Serdang but the person in-charge doesn't sound convincing when talking to him regarding the installation. he said must give them more time to figure it out as i would be the first 1 who asked for such installation and it would be the first time they doing it also ! the person in-charge claimed that they need time to sounght out rgose wiring matters when installing, referring to the manual ! this really worries me bit ler....especially i am scared the wiring he mentioned would have caused my central alarm lock malfunctioned if they don't really know how to do!

so, pls, any1 out there, any recommendation? on my list would be cheras, kepong or glenmarie.....Projason, your's been done in shah alam ? if not mistaken , i just read some really bad comments on the shah alam and puchong branch....tedious having to cater to all this ! chaotic  Undecided

Shah alam got many P2 SC as i know... do you know Sri muda, Chan auto SC, usually they call "under the bridge" my old place... you can get the contact info from P2 offical site.

not that critical, if you read some of my post here, is 5-10 Min job, i bet the ppl you call up dosn't physically look at that part, the sifu ask me to wait for him to install and take the car when i was on my way to yam cha...

all he need to to is take out the plastic cover on the right passenger side, tail floor board and place a switch on the lock mount on the body, not the tailgate door, and is a tab connector basically share the connection with your right passenger door.

relex... bro/sis.. not rocket science...

of course, many of them out there don't know about this. unless they joined MyPerodua and read this post threads.. I wonder if Perodua owner could bring this thing to the court and sue them.
