My Angel, My Life....

To all VIVA owner,

Below is the post from other forum i've visit recently, i'm lazy to re-write Grin and i've tested on it, so if we miss this, who going to tell us as VIVA owner that the tailgate actually can't trigger the alarm??

All Premium, stardard, 850, 1000 CC  also equiped with the same alarm system, when alarm on/off dosn't give a sound, ok, never mind, use horn as panic alarm, ok too, save cost, i can add-on outside, but no sensor on the tailgate, kidding me?! did P2 putting risk on us for car theft? if this is same apply to MyVi and etc, doesn't this affect the their reputation by too cost saving?? and let the theft know the leak hole of this car!! doesn't P2 on the move of improvement?

The joke is P2 reply like " it is the printing mistake of booklet. From next production lot onwards, we will delete the sentences."

Don't let us to add-on or mod the existing alarm system, void the alarm warrenty if doing so, and give "doesn't make sense" alarm system installation that will put owner in the risk, the best is a lot of owner doesn't know about the leak hole... might as well make alarm system as an optional. then i'll bet my $$ on other brand.

After all the thumb up i've given, this is the big drawback.  Angry make me feel very piss when discover this.

what can we do myprotwo, K-Kaki and all P2 owners.... consumer right tribunal will help?? KAMPA will help??

 Cry Cry Cry

Hi, I am newly join motor trader forum.

I would like to take opportunity here to express my extreme dissatisfy to irresponsibile reaction of Perodua Company.

I purchase a unit of Perodua VIVA recently. I found that the tailgate doesn't equiped with any alarm sensor eventhough the service and warranty booklet is clearly mentioned that it is under warranty coverage.
*Pls refer VIVA Service and Warranty Booklet, chapter 7, page 4

I had arised the complaint to Perodua JB Branch and eventhough email to their webmaster. It had spent almost 2 weeks time to wait for their answer...

Unfortunately, last Saturday, the answer I got from Perodua workers is that; VIVA car doesn't equiped with any taigate sensor, it is the printing mistake of booklet. From next production lot onwards, we will delete the sentences. Then, they consider the case is close after reply with such irresponsible answer.

Does it means that, next time if customer claim for others items which ever mentioned in warranty book but not appear in actual condition, they will do the same things again?! by deleting the sentences in the booklet???!!!
If so, then what is the merit of the existence of warranty booklet when customer purchase the car from Perodua?Huh
Doesn't it like cheating?Huh When customer purchase the car, it had been gurantee that such items is under coverage, but when complaint arise, the irresposible action is taken to avoid the problem? Then, where is our customer right?

Moreover, if it is really printing mistake, it is clearly show to the world that how efficiency does Perodua company produce their product?
Doesn't the product is checked and confirmed before officially launch in market???!!!!

I hope this posting topic will arise Perodua's concern.
Please take immediate and proper action towards this issue.
Car security is one of the major concerns for car owner.

I think what P2 did to make the Perodua ViVA booklet was cut and paste from Daihatsu Mira Avi booklet. Then they go to Edit -> Replace.. and change Daihatsu to Perodua then Mira Avi to ViVa. hahaha.. Smiley.

.... really sad with Perodua reply though.. Sad

I purchase a unit of Perodua VIVA premium 1.0(A)
recently. I found that the tailgate doesn't
equiped with any alarm sensor eventhough the
service and warranty booklet is clearly mentioned
that it is under warranty coverage.
*Pls refer VIVA Service and Warranty Booklet,
chapter 7, page 4

I also found out thats no warning light indicate
the tailgate is open. this could bring danger to
other road users when belonging inside the car
drops, as well as back passenger.

Please don't tell me is the printing mistake of
booklet, how can Perodua allow this to happen and
make our car vulnerability to car theft??!! if i
didn't heard from some one and don't apply test,
how am i going to know? nobody tell me in the 1st
place. If anything theft case happen to my car or
jeopardize other road users safty, what can i do?
sue Perodua? i may reserve my right.

And if i fix it outside (other work shop), this
may void my Alarm System's warranty, and i have to
spend my money and time to do it. if i leave it
like that, is a risk to my car, with this dilemma
i'm having, might as well Perodua state the
limitation and put this Alarm System as an
optional that i can put my money on other brand of
Alarm System, if you are in this situation, will
you consider introduce your friend or relative to
buy one?

If Perodua can't compensate with resonable and
acceptable response, then this will greatly hurn
the hard to buit good reputation. Please do
consider the spreading power of the internet as
many people will surf for the pro and cons before
purchase.

And again,  i may reserve my right. Please
response ASAP. Thanks.

Instead of sitting around waiting for replies from the internet, I decided to bring this matter up to perodua service centres.

I approached one of the counters and launched the supposedly missing tailgate alarm system as if I didn't know anything because I wanted to see how they would treat this matter.

I was soon approached by the service personnel, and unsurprisingly, they came admitting having had a briefing on this arising matter from their head office with their official reason that all vivas doesn't come with this sensor.

However I later showed them the service and warranty booklet and pointed out the malay version of "Prosedur Pengenalan" under chapter 7, page 4. which also states that "sekiranya mana mana pintu, PINTU BUT dibuka dengan mengunnakan kunci pencucuh...hon akan berbunyi."

This clearly cannot be a misprint!

They came telling me that there is no such switch for the viva, and therefore can't be 'fixed'. Making them aware of what a right thing JB Branch perodua has done for their customer, they assured me to bring this matter up to the management. I certainly hope they don't expect all viva owners to drive up to johor just to get their sensor attached!

I am also very suprised since viva serves as a replacement model for kelisa, they should not have its tailgate sensor removed, moreever - SILENTLY, even when its predecessor has it!

I'm still keeping my cool as they've promised to bring this matter up to their management and I await their feedback. I find it very peculiar to have all doors activating the alarm except for the biggest and most obvious door.

If you don't want to put it in, announce it in the brochures at least and let consumers be aware of what they're purchasing. It's not like I can buy different cars each time I found out my features are missing from what I've painfully paid from my own pocket. I don't even want to mention the number of defects I got on the first day I received my car.

And guess what? I was told that I am the first person to launch this report for Kuching peroduas which suprised me even more. I've already seen quite a number of vivas moving around this city, don't you know what has been silently taken out from you?

Good move adrive, but as for me, i'll wait until the 2nd service then complain. if they said you are the 1st one reported this, then their having bad communication between HQ to all. or they just make don't know(acutally they knew), keep them safe from being blast by the customer or what ever.

so to all, please don't hesitate to shoot out complain for this matter to P2 website "contact us", amplify what ever bad thing happen without this tailgate alarm sensor. give them pressure, arise on media and etc.. tell them our $$ doen't drop from the sky, you wanna earn, earn in a reasonable way.

was also plan to write short note and post on any VIVA when seen one, already keep a pen and "post it" note pad in my pocket, will do it any time.

To Perodua, u make me p!ss, i make u difficult.

maybe this will shorten the time for them to rectify this problem.

"still making decision" such a lousy reply from them, wonder the bunch of decision makers will piss or not if their salary delay equal to number of days we are waiting for reasonable and positive response, from the day i know about it till now is more then half a months, and from the day i receive my ride is about 1 and a half month. the longer reply, the more trouble for their image.  Angry , tomorrow i gonna buy myself a break lock.

Maybe in Malaysia, consumer's right is no way stronger then this big players.. sad..  Sad .

Anybody care to call ChinaPress with "I have the right to complain" in chinese "我有權投" along with MyFM??!! if it take longer somemore, then i'll call. let this case be more aware by public, let the "don't know" VIVA owner knows about it
